Welcome to Hello Gironimo

Have a look at these lovely products from the newest designer to join the Frank and Fearless community. Hello Gironimo hand makes each piece using vintage buttons and badges to create these great individual artworks and textiles. Frank & Fearless are now selling the Swallow Cushion and the Heart Artwork and we think they will make excellent Valentine's gifts.

Keep your eyes open as Hello Gironimo are also being featured in the April edition of Living Etc.

Keep Calm Gallery - New York A - Z

I love this print by Laura Seaby available from http://www.keepcalmgallery.com/prints/lsabcnyc-an_a_to_z_of_new_york.htm. Makes me excited about my trip to New York in February!

Burlesque, Sweet Shops and Ancient Woodland

AIGA Design have just linked to a great website through twitter featuring some beautiful fonts and how they have been used in advertising, design and publishing. Font design is really under appreciated there are some really great illustrators working with fonts; i think my favourites on this page are "Bahnhof" the slightly ghoulish one which features in the picture on the left and the curly ITC American Typewriter (left and below.)
I also love the choice of words used to feature fonts. I receive the MyFonts.com newsletter every week and never get tired of the poetic structure used to feature them. This months featured artist Ryoichi Tsunekawa's font Camera (shown above) is a great example of this.

Everyone seems to have their own favoured font - i for example cannot type a letter without changing the font in word to Calibri and i can never believe it when people use Time New Roman for a piece of work - there are so many more fun fonts you can use! Have a look at the article in full at http://fontsinuse.com/sweet-flower/ and the latest my fonts newsletter at http://new.myfonts.com/newsletters/cc/201012.html.

Launderettes and Dot Cotton - Style Icons

First post in quite a while but we have been super busy designing and sourcing new products for the website!

In my aim to find new ideas I am always looking around me at exciting design and today after my washing machine broke down and I had to lug my Christmas outfit up to the launderette's I noticed again how much I love them. There is something so unchanged about launderette's - you really could be in any decade! This got me thinking where are all the retro style washing machines? Smeg's retro fridges are a real design classic but currently I can't find anyone making a retro washing machine. If anyone see's one let me know!

Taking of launderettes guess what I noticed in Dot Cotton's living room the other day....? She is rocking a very similar version of one of Frank & Fearless' vintage tapestries! Who know she had such taste!
